Found this book to be intriguing and fast moving. Excellent story that combines man's faith with the need to protect his family and others from evil.
No Hero
This book engages the reader quickly in the fears of a middle-class family facing death by a gang because of a life altering accident. The complexity of the plot-line and excellent character development makes for an exciting read. I read it in one sitting, just never wanting to abandon the Chambers family! This is Fishburne's first novel, I hope there are more to come.
This book was a gripping read from start to finish. Once into it, the difficulty was putting it down as the book is so well written that you feel part of the Chambers family. The dilemma for the 'No Hero' lead character is the conflict between his faith and his family which is compromised but cleverly overcome. The story is well constructed and the only sad part is that this sort of carnage is probably out there in our own communities.
This was a great read. I felt like I new all the characters and I enjoyed the way the author wove the pieces together.
Well written, complex plotline, the author did a great job of intertwining characters. This book was a real page turner as it followed a man who struggles to maintain his faith yet protect his family. A must read for any Atlantan who will recognize much of its history and landmarks in the story.
